Our wonderful Year 3 and 4 children have been putting their faith into action by leading our school community in collecting food donations for Warrington Food bank this harvest, demonstrating the true meaning of Catholic Social Teaching and our commitment to helping those most in need.
Inspired by our school mission statement, Following in the footsteps of Jesus, to serve others, the children embraced the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
As part of their Covenant with the Poor, our pupils reflected on the importance of showing compassion, kindness and solidarity with those experiencing hardship. They recognised that, as followers of Jesus, we are called not simply to talk about love and service, but to put these values into action.
With great enthusiasm, Year 3 and 4 took the lead in encouraging our whole school family to contribute to the collection. Their efforts brought together pupils, families and staff in a wonderful demonstration of generosity and community spirit.
This initiative provided a meaningful opportunity for our children to live out the principles of Catholic Social Teaching, particularly the dignity of the human person, solidarity, the common good and our preferential option for the poor.
Through their actions, the children showed that even the youngest members of our community can make a real difference when they respond to the needs of others with open hearts and helping hands.
A heartfelt thank you to all our families and members of our school community who supported this important initiative.
Together, we continue to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, sharing His love through our words and actions, and ensuring that our faith is truly lived each day
